The group, which comprises Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Baha'i and Buddhists, has been set up to encourage understanding between faiths.
The idea for the forum began when a Muslim Friday prayer group started meeting in a church hall in the town.
The group was officially launched on 17 July and celebrations included a multi-cultural community fun day.
Founder member and Shrewsbury restaurant owner John Mustafa said one of the reasons the group was set up was to amend relations after the London bombings in 2005., London bombings
He said: "It affected me very badly. I feared for my children, myself and my community. Those responsible were totally evil... not true Muslims.
"We have to live in harmony and love. We have to understand each other."
Christian elder and founder member Ian Patterson said: "We are trying to open doors, break down stereotypes and barriers, basically become good neighbours and live in harmony with each other.
"Our logo is to show everyone matters to god."
